  1. Hello!
I'm directing a production of Once Upon a Mattress and found this blog while looking for some set design inspiration! I was curious as to your involvement and memory of this show as I see that it was three years ago. I was excited to see the minstrel cast as a female as we have done the same thing. We have just begun rehearsal but we're trying to figure out how to play the Minstrel's flirtatious lines to Lady Larken, and we're assuming we can make it mostly a friendly, "feminist" sort of "encouragement." Do you recall how this production handled that? Also, I love the costuming of the Nightingale! Great inspiration--thanks!
